Event Description:
The Community Library welcomes University of Idaho Architecture Professor and AIA board member Phillip Mead. He will take us back in time to WWII, when Sun Valley Resort was used as a Navy convalescent hospital. It was in this beautifully placed medical center where military personnel recovered with the help of sun, fresh air, hot water pools, athletics, and cultural activities, the strategies of which have become popular methods of rehabilitation in many of today's leading hospitals.
